I kind of cut this out from being a continuing problem by coming out via a comic that went wider than anything else I've ever made.

But telling individual friends and family was always preceded by a lot of anxiety. Even people who I knew beyond any shadow of a doubt would be accepting and start with new name and pronouns right away.

It's... a change. And change can always be a bit daunting. I like a lot of my relationships with the people in my life, and the thought of them changing, along with everything else that was (and is) changing for me was a real fear for a while.

I actually only managed the nerve to tell a few people by phone. There was a lot more nervous Discord messages.
